Many of us have thought about exploring Judaism.
We’re in a relationship with a partner who already grew up Jewish. We had a roommate somewhere who introduced us. Some of us feel deep down we always were Jewish or want to become Jewish.

We know becoming Jewish can be a confusing, lonely experience for some. How do you explore seriously but keep your intellectual integrity? If you want to join or ‘convert’ how do you actually do it? Where do you start? And what is the difference between reform, conservative orthodox and all that? Most importantly, where do you find a mentor you can trust to lead you through this and some peers who will begin to walk the path with you?

How do you join the oldest family on earth? In Sojourners cohorts, we admit applicants through a carefully screened interview process. Our eclectic groups meet by region. Our curricula are highly curated and led by outstanding educators. Expect thoughtful, intriguing conversation where questions are welcome. We’ll walk with you every step of this journey, and should you choose a formal conversion ceremony, we will facilitate the ritual that works for you.

I have my doubts. I bring a lot of baggage from past religious experience. Your Judaism might not be what I am looking for. I have a whole lot of questions. I never thought of myself as a believer. I am skeptical on the whole Israel thing. I am on a journey, not looking to drink the kool-aid.
